Greetings to all singers in the Rocky Mountain District!
This year, Rocky Mountain District will be having our first all voices quartet and chorus contests. What does that mean? All quartet and chorus contests will be open to any singer that is a member of BHS and the Rocky Mountain District.
The contest will be held October 7-9, 2022 in conjunction with our fabulous fall convention at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center in Denver, Colorado. A more detailed schedule will be coming out when we have a better idea of how many competitors there will be. Quartets need to be ready for competition by late afternoon on Friday, Oct. 7th. Only requests to sing first will be granted in the order in which they are received. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD and be ready to go at least 45 minutes before your scheduled stage time.
Quartet Contests
- District Quartet Championship (2 rounds)
- International Senior Quartet Rep (1 round)
- District Senior Quartet Champion (1 round)
- District Novice Quartet Champion (1 round)
Chorus Contests (all 1 round)
- Intl Prelim District Representative (Highest scoring chorus + any chorus that scores 80.0% or higher)
- District Chorus Championship
- District Most Improved Award (Any chorus that competed at District in 2019)

As a result of a successful quartet prelims this spring in conjunction with RMHC, we will again be hosting RMD prelims (quartets only) next spring. This will be an invitational only contest based on fall scores of 70.0% or higher or video submission to be evaluated by a district panel of judges.
